I like large parties. They’re so intimate. At small parties there isn’t any privacy.

If you're going to shoot a Gatsby themed party, you might as well quote the book.

Last week I got to photograph an event at the famous Guastavinos. This was actually the first time I've shot an event here and it is a beautiful space. I especially loved the entrance and the large stone wall. Seeing everyone dressed to the nines in their 1920s garb definitely made the place dazzle.

Guests came prepared as best as they could, but the event planner went the extra step and provided everyone with a bunch of great props. Gloves, hats, fans, boas, pearls, you name it! People were having so much fun getting fancied up.

When everyone looks this good and gets to dress up, it makes it soooo easy to take their photos. The guests were ready to GO! No one turned down a photo for this event. With good reason, people were dressed to impress. It was a college reunion for any and all alumni of Trinity College.

People were having a blast, and who could blame them!? Open bar, great food, live music, and also their own private casino!

I wish my school threw such a cool alumni party. Maybe I'll have my client reach out to them. The time blew right by. I couldn't even believe how fast the event came and went. I'm definitely looking forward to my next event with these guys.
